  5. The SwitchView Fault Management product monitors your network, alerting you
  6. when problems occur. Both local and remote devices can be monitored with the
  7. alarms forwarded to centralized management systems if required. Any ASCII
  8. message received by SwitchView over a serial port will be considered as a
  9. potential alarm. Just add records describing the messages which indicate
  10. problems and SwitchView stores them in its database as they occur. When the
  11. specified threshold for the alarm is exceeded, SwitchView automatically
  12. upgrades the alarm to priority status and routes it to the appropriate device
  13. for attention. The routings are date and time sensitive allowing you to specify
  14. backup maintenance contacts during off-hours. Automated Alarm Management lets
  15. you respond to problems before they become catastrophes.
